2006 Testing Codes Toolkit
The new 2006 Testing Codes Toolkit is designed to help psychologists learn about proper use of the revised CPT psychological and neuropsychological testing codes, payment for the codes, and advocating with health insurance companies for appropriate reimbursement. The toolkit is part of the APA Practice Organization's ongoing education campaign about the revised codes.

New Law Reverses Medicare Payment Cuts
On February 8, President Bush signed into law 2006 federal budget legislation with a provision reversing Medicare payment cuts of 4.4 percent that took effect on January 1. As a result, reimbursement amounts to health professionals for Medicare services in 2006 are restored to their 2005 levels.
